Membership


Southern Wings Bird Club welcomes all those who enjoy birds from the beginner to the expert. We offer a friendly, informal atmosphere where questions can be asked and answered, interesting sightings can be shared, and all can learn about our avian neighbors. The yearly dues for membership are $10.00 for and individual and $15.00 for a family and are collected each January.

Newsletter

A monthly newsletter is mailed or e-mailed to all members. Information in the mailing includes brief minutes of the previous meeting, scheduled events, upcoming programs, related community events, and interesting bird news.



Club Purpose

- To Learn more about the birds in our
area and other places of interest
- To share our interest with our community
- To create habitats supportive of wildlife
- To enjoy the fellowship of others
with similar interests

Meeting Information

Time: 7PM
Date: Second Monday of every month.
Place: Rhodes Jordan Park

Enter the park at the intersection of US 29 and Scenic Highway (SR124). Continue into the park, around the lake, and to the top of the hill. The Community Center is the large building to the right of the pool.

The picnic will be at Tribble Mill park in Grayson at the Oak Pavilion. Oak Pavilion is on the lakefront with the long fishing pier and restrooms. Please bring your own beverages and an appetizer, side dish or dessert to serve 8 people. The main dish, utensils, napkins, plates, and ice will be provided by the club.
